Holy Cow!! Thats a BIG question. You would not believe the benefits you get as a disabled veteran. I could go on for quite a while on just the "fun" bennies you can receive. I understand it's not something that most would take advantage of (we have "vet's" here that receive an incredible amount of benefits even though they only did a few weeks in basic and stubbed their toe, but no offense to them) but having served your country you are entitled to many different things. From the little things, I have asked if they give veterans discounts at hotels, car rentals, golf courses, pretty much anything, and usually get tossed a little bone. Not to say that I abuse it, but you usually get a similar discount as if you were using a AAA card, or something of the likes. Depending on your disability percentage, you can even get into the shades of green resort near Disney World in Florida, but they have tight restrictions. Your best bet is to become an active member in something like the D.A.V., VFW, or the American Legion. They all have an abundance of info, even if you just attend a few meetings, or do like I do and hang out at the VFW hall, those guys know everything, and if your a younger buck, they buy you "sodas" all night long. A better question is what don't you get. I have also pasted a couple of links below to help you better understand your benefits. There is a book published by the V.A. that also describes in depth what you can get. I know this probably does not answer your question, but if you have something specific in regards you can PM me and I'll get back to you........
