Double tap
Someone, I think it was Timothy, was talking about control of the firearm during double taps. Here is a suggestion I think may help with that.
I got training from the FBI once with firearms. They don't do double taps, they believe in a controlled pair.
This is one shot, back on target, another shot as soon as you are on target.
Practice this enough and you will be doing double taps controlled before you know it.
It is all muscle memory after all.

I thought this thread was about me, I was like: "What did I do now?"
Thanks Swattie, they made me qualify with doubletaps the second mag.
First mag was "Fire at own pace, just don't let it go over 1 minute"
Second mag was "Fire DoubleTaps at own pace, just don't go over 45seconds"
Third was "Quick fire, as many rounds down range as quick as possible in 10seconds"

Yeah thats what I've seen other experts say as well, Swattie.
Its just a matter of letting the gun return to its natural point of aim and then pressing again, they say.
However, as I become more experienced and more comfortable with the good old 45 ACP, I'm sure my time between shots will become smaller and smaller

How far away were you? 3 yards doesn't count.

Smartass!!!!!!! And that was just to qualify so I could carry the gun. I am unsure of the qual. for the quarterly qual. but I know I will pass that, if I could past this.
But, I am no Swattie, so........

My goal is to accumulate 1000 rounds for every caliber of weapon I have. Then to maintain that amount so I can go shoot anytime I want.

I drool at the prospect. Of course 45 ACP is the only caliber that applies to me at the moment.
I'm not sure if I'll make it through today without going to the gun store, I've already finished my homework and I'm ahead in my class readings.
Plus, I worked out for over two hours yesterday and I am pretty sure I don't have anything left for today.
I think I might have to make a trip and at the very least stare at the T.R.P., be all like
I'm also thinking about purchasing a 9mm firearm so that I will have a handgun that I can fire for a lot less money. Not sure what to buy though..
