we are doing the arrest control portion of our acadmey now and I have heard rumors that P.P.C.T. is no longer the high man on the pole, as far as individual departments say. So I am wondering what time of arrest control everybody has done, FBI, Koga etc. Please let me know so I can do some research on them.

My last job used the Clamp. My current agency uses Ai Ki Do.

PPCT is Pressure Point Control Technique.

Ai Ki Do is empty hand martial arts.

The clamp, well you have to go through the class to employ the clamp, do it wrong and you could be looking at a lawsuit for excessive force.

I dont know what the clamp is, but yes we use PPCT and our instructor is a 40 year Ai Ki Do black belt. pretty much he has studied his whole life, I dont know I was just looking for some ideas on what else is out there. thanks for your replies.
