I would like to inform you all that July 30th-Aug. 4th I will not be on LEF at all. We have a police explorer academy comming up that I will be attending for the second time.

This academy is a stay over academy the hours are from 0600-2000. We do everything in this academy push-ups, sit ups, running, saluteing (officers), lineing up in formation, marching. Those are the military based things.

On the LE based sections we do: Traffic stops (low and high risk), bomb threats, building searches, hostage negotiations, search and seazure, drug identification, tactical entry, rapid responce, first aid, and at the end you are given a "squad car" and a radio, you are then dispatched to calls (around the area) at anytime(day or night) during the final two days. You are graded on your performance and at the end you graduate with high honors honors or a student.

It is a great time and I enjoy every minute of it, hopefully this time I get teamed up with a partner who knows what he is doing, last time, my partner told a "87" year old man to get on the floor because dispatch said he was wanted from a "unpaid fine". We didn't get good reviews on that one. .
