Ok first off, Im a Sergantwith the explorers out of Laurens, South Carolina. The Sheriffs department runs it. Secondly, does anyone have any good advice for drill? I am really terible at the chain comands. Most of my unit has been in the ROTC and I havent, so I dont know a whole lot of the commands.

Drill as in like parade type drill or drill as in physical training? If you are talking about parade type drill then all I can tell you is practice practice practice. If you want to know about physical training, we start every meeting off with a 1.5mile run then go and lift weights for a half hour, this usually takes up about 1 hour, then the other 2 hours are spent doing the fun stuff like, traffic stops, building searches, etc... If you would like any other advice about anything else feel free to ask and I will try to give you some pointers from an experienced explorer.

Thanks. It was parade drill. We dont really do any of the p.t. stuff, we have done a little, but not a whole lot. We do a lot of fun stuff like building searches and trafic stops. Stuff like that.

Ceilidh,
As for the parade drill, get everyone out on the parking lot and have them walk around in circles and make sure they are making their turns sharp and clean, if they are not extend the time until they are all doing it properly. I also think going for a "little" walk around town and making them "hault", " Right Face", "Left Face", and "bout face" thats what we have done in the past when the parking lot was full.

Also, in the future if you have a question, post it in a new thread, not on the sticky and title it something you think will describe the thread, ok? Thanks this will make it easier for everyone.
