Most chiefs do not go on calls, no one was underestimating a Chief.....It's just a fact of the job.

You know, that's one thing that I do not hear when I evesdrop on radio conversation here. No one says naughty things! Even when officers are talking among themselves and think no one's listening (I am the shadow!!) they don't use bad words.

As to not adopting a fetal position . . . You should see how the narcos assasinate people. You have no chance at all. Imagine, two guys standing about 8 feet from you with AK-47s and banana clips. They empty both clips in a little less than 8 seconds and aim for the head. The results are incredible. Nothing left. You could be running, sitting, standing, laying down or trying to hide. Results the same.

The radio and dealing with scum are different. The radio is controlled by the FCC, which is listening at all times and curse words are not used. If they are you and your agency are subject to discipline.
