Cali is billions of dollars behind in budget, so they want to tax the Porn Industry 25% on all purchases of Adult Entertainment. This would mean, when the producers sell it to the distributor, when the distributor sells it to the store, and when the store sells it to the general public.

I am for it. All porn does is denegrade women. Many sex crimes persons start off with porn. Tax the hell out of it as far as I am concerned.

I saw this also, when it was fresh off the press. They are planning on taxing all "adult entertainment" material a whopping 25%.
Quite the hit. I think it is appropriate, most vices are heavily taxed upon. Cigarettes and Alcohol are taxed considerably, why not pornography?

Kansas even has a drug tax. If you don't have a tax stamp on your drugs, they will take everything you own.

I personally find the idea of taxing medicine to be very poor. Alcohol, cigarettes, and pornography are vices, and while they are enjoyable sporadically, they are completely and totally optional.
On the other hand, medicine is something (most) people use to get relief when they are down in the dumps and sick. I think that taxing it is kind of kicking them while they are on the ground. 
Of course, the world doesn't turn without money.

I think we should go to the same system as Canada, free health care, this would free up SOOOOOOO much money to spend on other things to support our economy. I agree with you TimothyJ, vices should be HIGHLY taxed, but medicine most people NEED should not be taxed!

That drug tax stamp is for illegal drugs. IE marijuana, cocaine, meth.
