Dear All,
First, my thanks to your Mod for allowing me to post the following.
I am a Doctoral Candidate at The University of Georgia part of a team starting a project on threat assessment. We intend to examine how LEOs and other experts make judgments regarding potential threats. If any of you folks or friends of yours in the field (broadly speaking, security and LE) would be kind enough to consider participation via anonymous online survey, it would be greatly appreciated. Our hope is that we will eventually produce tangible results and a line of research which will benefit our nation and those who protect it. I am pasting below a short advertisement we have been circulating which provides additional info. Please feel free to forward this message.
My Thanks to all of you

ETA: I've been getting feedback that the 1.5 hour estimate is way too high. Some folks have been finishing in 30 minutes. Basically it is the reading and scoring of 75 single paragraph narratives, to give a better idea of what is involved and the time. - cheers!
Below is our 'official' ad
Researchers at The University of Georgia are performing a study to examine how people make judgments regarding potential security risks or threats. We are conducting this research in order to better understand the process of threat evaluation and the effects of training on security risk assessment. The study is in online survey form, and is expected to require about 1.5 hours to perform. All survey information will remain anonymous with complete privacy guaranteed to those participating in the study. Full details and summary of your rights as a study participant, should you choose to complete the survey, are located at
