Do I believe in the killing someone for what they have done, Well me answer is YES. I think that your system needs to lay there hand down a little harder on people that have sex with little child or kill a little child. Also someone that kills a cop, Someone that kills a cop needs to die and not get 30 years or life in prison we are doing him a favor if you ask me.

Ummmm, wow, I could go on for ever about the state of the country and the criminal justice system, but why bother. Eye for an eye.

I support the death penalty, however, the idea of even one innocent man being put to death by the state makes me shiver.

I am a believer in the the death penalty, used when appropriate. Our current system, however is flawed. The key is to finding a balance between protecting the wrongfully accused and ensuring justice swift and sure. Putting someone to death 20 or more years after they were arrested for their crimes diminishes the effectiveness of the death penalty's role as a deterrent as well as society's need for retribution.

The concept is valid, but the system is broken and needs to be repaired. Or, at the very least, fine tuned.
