I am a new officer in this profession for about 3 years now. Someone in a white shirt asked me would you arrest or give a person that wears blue a ticket. I replied no I would not, Now if they kill someone or assualt somebody and they cause the fight then yes I have to do my job which I hope they understand.

There are cops out there that just give us a bad name and there are cops that are just not good people. Those would be the ones that I would try to get.

My question is would you protect your brothers and sisters that are police officers?

Depends on how fast they were going. I have given a cop or his family member a ticket because they could have hurt someone with the way they were driving.

It is a case by case basis.

Don't think cops are all that much different. They's still human beings under the uniform. I agree that there are good ones and bad ones. I think that the LE departments try to select the best but just cause a man/woman was good going in, say, 10 or 12 years ago doesn't always mean that they stayed that way. A lot can happen to a person over the years. I think sometimes it's hard to stay straight. Especially nowadays.
