Any one here work for F-DOT (Florida Department of Transportation) I was told that if you get hired they tell you your duty assignment before they send you to the academy. Thats fine. But, what are the odds that you will be put to work near your home. I have a house and my wife works, I cant just pick up and move 6 counties away. Are they willing to work with you on this???

No not yet but I am in the process. I dont think I will be willing to move for their money but I did find out that if I complete the process I will be in a hiring pool for my area.... But I think I better stick with the county jobs. Its just real bad a lot of counties are on a freeze.
