The first week I went to the range and qualified. I scored perfect on the pistol, rifle and shotgun. I also taught a couple things to my instructors during defensive tactics. They were impressed.

We had our EVALs this week. Everyone was complaining about they had stuff to work on. When I got done they asked me how I did. I told them I had a perfect eval and they told me to keep up the good work.

That earned me the nickname of Mr. Perfect.

I didn't tell the other new guys however that I was told to put in for sergeant ASAP. They said I was a shoe in for it. I can only imagine what it would be like then.
