Illinois allows CCW but it is very restrictive. CHicago doesn't allow Handguns at all last I heard.

Yeah I've got the best of both worlds there, I live close enough to Chicago to enjoy the festivities, but not close enough to deal with the restrictive bull****. I'm officially in the burbs, but it is much easier to just say "chicagoland"

And yes, handguns are completely banned in Chicago.

Sadly, as far as I've been told by various gunshop owners, CCW is completely impossible in the state of Illinois

Oh well, at least I can own and shoot

I'm so pumped up, it's bright and early on a sunny Saturday morning, and I'm definitely buying an XD-45 today. SO pumped.
