The only .380 I own is a Beretta 85. The quality, size and reliability are great, but what REALLY suprised me was the recoil. I guess it has alot to do with the straight blow-back design, but wow! I was expecting a mild recoil considering it's a .380. My Kahr P9 is tame compared to the 85, along with most of my other handguns.

Does anyone own or have fired both the 85 and P232?

How does the recoil compare between the two?


I understand that the P232 is also a blow-back design and if the recoil is the same as my 85, I just as soon stick with the 85.
