Just wanted to post an update on the application to Foley PD. I did the test (easy) and the interview, which was a great time, department seems like it's filled with a whole bunch of wonderful people. Almost didn't do it since I was working nights at the time, and had to be up that much earlier to drive all the way out to Foley, but I believe it was well worth it.

When I left the "getting to know you" interview, they told me they'd send me some paperwork to get working on my background and poly, and then two weeks later when I hadn't heard anything, they called and said they were already working on the background, was I still interested! So, needless to say I said YES! Then nothing again for almost a week until one of the detectives called me back and said he's been working on it, but he's also had to spend a lot of time in court.

Two more weeks pass by and I hear nothing, then almost at quitting time, I'm coming in from another call and I hear people telling me that there are two detectives from Foley in the break room talking to my Sgt. When they finished with him, they talked to me for a while (finally got to meet them!) and said that it wasn't looking too bad, and it would be up to the Chief now. The guy did say that they wouldn't be out there talking to me and my supervisors if they weren't really interested in me, so that's a positive.

Now it's back to the waiting game. Hopefully the Chief will make a positive decision in my case and decide to grant me an early Christmas!

Sounds like you are well on your way to getting a LEO job marinepilot, I would apply there but I am in WI, and I am sure they wouldn't want to do a interview over the internet lol.....but congrats.
